Divas, its official. The script & flip has switched. We now live in a society where “side chicks” are more respected and revered than girlfriends & wives. Its now more important to a man that his “b****** love him” than it is that his woman, the one holding down the household & being there 24/7 & 366 days of the year..is happy. Which part of the game is this? Divas, I implore you..to take back the reigns. Its time to stop the games and realize when it is that we are being played..and issue those cease & desist orders for these jokers who think its all good. Get into these signs that will let you know..if you are indeed, the other woman.

5. He/She cant remember special occasions/times in YOUR life.

Let me tell you something..people remember what they want. If they cant remember your birthday..your anniversary..date night…the milestones in your child’s life (if applicable)…something is going on. No matter how hectic work is, no matter how much they have on their plate…if you ask them to pick you from work and they ask you where you work again…something is up.

4. He/She does not want to get into deep, engaging conversations or share quality time:

The biggest part of any relationship..is communication. Sex is good. Laughter is great..but the times when you are both in sweats or pajamas arguing over who gets the last chicken wing..or who should get up to get the remote..are what solid relationships are made of. Communication is more than talking about how your day went..and quality time is more than cuddling after sex. It is the times when your guard is completely down and your souls can connect that make the difference. You should be talking about your futures..goals…who is going to get the kids from school..concrete things that show your mate is not only in it for the physical ; they want a future.

3. He/she is TOO jealous/paranoid/insecure :

Divas, there are times when we may think this is cute..or acceptable..and to be honest, it is. Sometimes. It is perfectly OK for your mate to check in with you during the day, or even inquire as to your whereabouts or activities..it is NOT OK for your mate to pop up uninvited to your locations or grill you if you answer a text 2 minutes after they sent it instead of 30 seconds. Thats crazy..and usually a sign that they are doing something or trying to keep a leash on you. Watch that.

2. He/She has not introduced you to anyone important in their life:

Someone who is proud of you, will want people to know they are with you. Im not saying you have to be each other’s main pictures on Facebook or tag each other in every status..but if they have a “bestie” or a “bro” or a “sis” that you have never ever met…or even a distant cousin they are spending all their time with that has no idea who you are and vice versa…something is up. Do NOT believe the hype. the saying “i dont want everybody in my business” is a nice way to say…you are a secret.

1. He/She is unreachable :

You cant get your mate on the phone. Your texts go unanswered…no emails..no skype…no nothing…you heard the Joe Budden song…something is going on. Anyone who considers you a priority in their life will make time to have some contact with you..and if you arent a priority, you ARE an option..and who wants to be a side dish?

Divas, in closing, all I want to leave you with…is keep your eyes open. There is always warning before destruction. As my girl Sandra Rose would say..dont let the dopamine fool you into thinking everything is sweet. Stay on your toes..even when you are being swept off of your feet.
