SheaMoisture Reveals New Organic Hair Color System

For all of our diva’s who’ve been on the search for a ‘natural hair friendly’ hair coloring system, the folks at SheaMoisture have heard your cries loud and clear!

The organic bath, body, and hair line recently took to their Facebook account in introducing their new Ammonia-free Hair Color System, which includes natural and certified organic ingredients in 12 vibrant colors.

The system includes linseed oil (used to protect the natural hair bristles of artist’s frequently washed paint brushes), and soy protein (known to temporarily strengthen damaged hair by placing a protein patch where your hair is weakest).

Though the line’s natural ingredients definitely spark our interest, it was the water color paintings of the differentiating brown faces found on each box that kept us awed.

In speaking of their decision to commission Maryland artist Michael Jamal for the paintings, the company’s Creative Director Jullanar Barron stated, “It was important to us in creating the art for our new hair color packaging to represent our community in a way that encompasses all our individualism and beauty. We want you to see yourself when you look at a box of our hair color.”

Organic ingredients and art that represents the beauty found in every woman of color…where do we sign up? The line launched this week in around 400 Target stores throughout the U.S.

Will you be giving SheaMoisture’s new color system a try?
