In life, Whitney Houston made all sorts history. Hence, it’s only fitting that in death she continues to do the same.
The Pop icon, who tragically died a year ago, is the focus of not one, but four new wax figures at Madame Tussauds. Noteworthy on the basis of Houston’s name alone, the creation of the models mark the first time in 200 years that Tussauds have simultaneously created so many figures of the same focus.
Speaking in a statement on behalf of the singer’s estate, sister-in-law and manager Pat Houston said:
“We were extremely honored when Madame Tussauds approached us about doing four figures of Whitney from different points in her 30-year career. This is something we are excited to do for the fans.”
While the figures were created in London, they will appear in different cities worldwide just like Whitney.
Long live The Voice.
