Nothing inspires us more than a Diva who overcomes.

It’s why we have nothing but respect for 90s Supermodel Kiara Kabukuru, whose was hit by an 18 wheel truck back in 2000 leaving her face mutilated. However, after years of reconstructive surgery and a determination we’re in awe of, she is now plotting her return to fashion- now set to cover the March edition of W Magazine.

Getting into the horrific accident at the height of her career, the beauty saw the skin on her arms and back ripped off, her teeth fall out, and her ribs, gums, pubic bone and right ankle were broken as a result of it…but you could never tell by looking at her today- just as stunning as she was during her days as the face of CoverGirl, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger.

She shared:

“In my life, there have been all these reversals of fortune. I think I was proving to myself my strength and my ability to survive. And now I am ready.”

Amen to that!
