Weddings and engagements have been a hot topic on this season of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta – and it seems it’s a theme that will continue into series six. For, it has been announced that cast member Kandi Burrus is now engaged to boyfriend of a year plus Todd Tucker.
According to US Weekly, television producer Todd, 39, popped the question on New Year’s Day during a small party for friends and family.
Keen to do things the “right way”, Tucker felt it right to seek the approval of Burruss’ 10 year old daughter Riley (from a previous relationship) - who like her mommy said “yes”. We hear the all-important ring was two-carat diamond sparkler by Gregg Ruth.
Speaking of her happiness, the singer-songwriter, who has been engaged once before ( to the late Ashley “A.J.” Jewell) said: “I was totally surprised (I shed tears)”.
And while the couple are reportedly debating whether to air their nuptials on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, one thing is certain Kandi is certain Tucker is “the one”. She gushed:
“I used to make jokes with my friends that I [was] part of the Forever Single Club. That’s what I said before, but now I’m totally different (thanks to Todd)”.
