Although celebrated for her beauty, Naomi Campbell is currently in the process of recovering from an ugly mugging she experienced on the streets of Paris.
The NY Post reports that the supermodel suffered a torn ligament in her leg as she attempted to hail a cab, and was abruptly “knocked over and robbed” by a group of attackers. It is believed that the group was targeting expensive jewelry she was wearing at the time.
A source stated that during the incident, which occurred over a month ago, Campbell was “violently pushed to the ground,” and appeared visibly “upset and shaken up.”
Her longtime boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, immediately upped security around the 42-year-old, who has been using a wheelchair and crutches to move around since the attack.
Though the creator of modeling competition, “The Face,” has declined to speak on the assault, she offered the statement, “I am sorry, I do not talk to press, but I am fine,” when reached by phone.
