More details will be announced about this feature in the coming weeks !
×Grab a tissue, Divas. This Saturday’s episode of Iyanla Vanzant‘s ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’ is set to be a tear-jerker.
This week it’s actress Maia Campbell who is the show’s focus. Most known for her role as Tiffany on hit 90′s sitcom ‘In The House’ (which she starred in alongside LL Cool J and Debbie Allen), the 00′s haven’t been as kind to Campbell.
Following the show’s cancellation, Maia would struggle with an addition to crystal meth and allow herself be used by men to facilitate her habit. Many in the Urban diaspora were left with their mouths wide-open after shocking footage of her disheveled and strung out on drugs became a viral hit.
During the emotional episode, Iyanla helps Maia re-establish a trusting relationship with her family, equipping her with the necessary tools to become a better mother to her 11-year-old daughter. Also tackled are Campbell’s unresolved guilt for all the pain she caused her mother and grandmother — which is holding her back and keeping her from pressing on with her life.
Check out previews below…
‘Iyanla: Fix My Celebrity Life’ airs on OWN this Saturday at 10pm EST/PST. We’ll be watching. Will you?

This is deep! She was so pretty and talented. I hope she can move forward. So many ppl LOVE TO SEE YOUNG BLACK PEOPLE FALL & STAY DOWN! It gives ignorant, weak, boot-kissing Blacks nothing but joy watching their own suffer. I wont even get on how happy the KKK is to watch Blacks fall as they do all they can to keep them down!

She has to forgive herself and make peace. If she wants to make them proud all she has to do is take care of her child and herself.

I remember seeing the mug shot and videos of Maia for the first time a few months ago….I was in such disbelief and saddened at the same time. I am glad now to see her in these clips, as she regains her life, mends her relationships, and heals her soul. I could not and would not ever judge her, so I will be honest in saying that I saw parts of myself in things she expressed….we all have our own stories, pains, triumphs, and individual walks but there are also so many generational curses that plague us as women, as African American women, that many of us need to heal from (myself included). This is a reminder to me as a mother, just how important it is to show my 5 year old daughter the unconditional love she yearns for every moment I can. It is so easy to be wrapped up in our own lives (bills, men, careers, materials, etc), that we can inadvertantly cause pain to our daughters, our children period……the part where Iyanla makes her talk to her mom really struck me hard because it shows that we take time for granted, we take love for granted, we take ourselves and those we love most for granted….Any past situation is gone, and can never be undone or avoided, but moving forward in positive directions can only lead to greatness, health, happiness, wholeness, and will allow our beauty from within to radiate even when we aren’t saying a word!
Maia and her family are in my prayers, and I wish them only the best!

Everyone keeps saying she WAS so pretty, I’m sure with no negative intentions, but I just want to say that she is still SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! She doesn’t at all look like what she has been through. I pray that God restores her completely and that her latter be greater than her past.
