Alicia Keys has had enough!
After years of being billed a ‘home wrecker’ after starting a relationship with producer Swizz Beatz, Keys has spoken out against those who claim she ‘stole’ him from his then partner Mashonda.
In the forthcoming edition of ‘Jet Magazine‘, she shared:
‘[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true…’

I’m happy that she is pushing this album simply because I missed her music. Haven’t liked what I’ve heard yet, but I feel its going to be a solid album!

Haven’t liked what you’ve heard yet but you think it’s going to be a solid album? That sounds like a contradiction in my opinion. I also haven’t been that impressed by what I’ve heard thus far, so I’m not sure whether it will be a solid album or not. I’m waiting to hear more before I make that assumption.

Love this cover. Keep bringing the heat Alicia. I love “Girl On Fire” more everytime I hear it and “New Day” is one of my favorites, but I’d have to say “Brand New Me” is my very favorite so far. Looking forward to the album release Nov. 27. I’m not doubting anything Alicia has said. She never ceases to amaze and inspire. <3

Homewrecking slut. Mashonda isn’t stupid and she isn’t crazy so unless Swizz was lying to the both of them Alicia can sit her husband thieving ass down.

Maybe some of Alicia’s fans are quick to accept her version of the facts but as a neutral person who is also a married woman, I’m not willing to just ignore the ex-wife’s version. Alicia is not really giving any details based on what is stated above because how are we to know how she defines “apart” or “some time.” She is basically implying that those who don’t condone her behavior are being haters but I disagree. The fact that I believe she should have waited until there was a divorce does not make me a hater. Alicia has the right to make her own choices and decisions but everyone else is entitled to have their own opinion on the issue and it does not necessarily make them a hater just because they feel the matter should have been handled differently.

How do you know who is lying and who is telling the truth? Do you know them personally, where you there? Does Alicia’s fame and fortune give her automatic credibility in this situation while Mashonda’s lack thereof means she’s a liar? I wish Alicia would have been able to say that she waited until they were divorced but she didn’t/couldn’t say that so the situation is at best unclear and at worst a classic example of homewrecking.
